Meet Sara Kowalik
Sara Kowalik is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) by the State of Nebraska and is a board certified Diplomat in Oriental Medicine (Dipl. O.M.) by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). Sara has been in practice for 12 years.
Sara is originally from Omaha and attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha where she earned a Bachelor’s degree. After working 10 years in a sales/customer service position for Regal Awards, she discovered acupuncture through her own search for healing, from symptoms induced by stress, which Western medicine could not fully address. She found acupuncture to be highly beneficial and intriguing and it sparked a desire to learn the modality and help others with it. She decided to go on to study acupuncture at the Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (now known as Texas Health and Science University) in Austin, Texas where she graduated as Salutatorian with a Master’s of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Her training included more than 3,045 didactic and clinical hours.
In her spare time Sara appreciates the outdoors and enjoys kayaking, hiking and camping. She also enjoys traveling, reading and scrapbooking.
